Our school is proud to provide the facility of two modern lifts within our eight-story building to ensure easy and efficient access for all members of our community. This dual-lift system is fundamental to our commitment to inclusivity, ensuring that students, staff, and visitors with mobility challenges can navigate all floors effortlessly. Beyond accessibility, the two lifts significantly improve traffic flow, preventing congestion during busy periods like class changes and providing essential redundancy so that safe vertical transport is always available. School Lifts are equipped with modern safety features, including emergency call buttons, and should potentially be integrated into the school’s security system to restrict access to certain floors outside of school hours. As per safety purpose, both lifts are always run by a Liftman only.

General Accessibility Policies

• Priority Usage: Priority access is given to individuals with disabilities, temporary injuries, or mobility impairments. Staff carrying heavy equipment or emergency responders also have priority when necessary.
• Designated Access: Control panels are positioned at accessible heights (800mm to 1000mm from the floor) and include features like Braille buttons and raised letters for users with visual impairments.
• Operational Policies: Running, pushing, or misuse of the lifts is strictly prohibited and subject to disciplinary action.
• Maintenance and Inspection: In compliance with the Gujarat Lifts and Escalators Act, 2000, the lifts undergo mandatory monthly maintenance and annual safety inspections by authorized, licensed professionals to ensure continued safety and compliance. A logbook of all maintenance is kept for audits.
